On the 17th and 18th of October 2017, at the Sheraton Warsaw Hotel, the 7th edition of the BIG DATA & AI: Think Big Congress took place. The event has become a unique, prestigious and well established on the market for key representatives of the business sector, public administration, media and science. This year’s edition was attended by 321 participants, who took part in 6 discussion panels, 5 fire chats and 12 individual presentations, which was made possible by 56 speakers.
The grand opening of the Congress, during the joint part of the BIG DATA and SecureTech Congresses, was presented by Dariusz Kacprzyk, Co-Chair of the Advisory Board of the SecureTech Congress and Tomasz Motyl, Chair of the Advisory board of the BIG DATA & AI: Think Big Congress. Gathered participants had the pleasure to hear the speech of Krzysztof Silicki, Vice-Minister of Digitization for Cybersecurity, followed by the world-famous hacker – Ralph Echemendia, working for companies such as NASA, Google, Microsoft as well as the most important names in Hollywood, and Prof. Anatoly Maruschak, who spoke about the hacking attack in Ukraine this summer. The joint part was concluded with a discussion panel concerning the digital future of business, in the context of the General Data Protection Regulation (RODO).
The first panel of the conference held the discussion about the technological revolution in business, and more precisely, the implementation of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, as well as the role of humans in the perspective of cooperation with robots. During the following block, they spoke about the effective IT systems using Big Data.
The second day of the conference started with deliberations on the most important aspects of Artificial Intelligence as an open source and how it builds its own solutions. Next, the participants had the chance to find out interesting things about coexistence with man and machine in retail and investment banking. During the following fire chat, they discussed the profits and the challenges that, in particular sectors, bring with it the use of Artificial Intelligence.
Finally, the debate which closed the conference was about the implementation of Artificial Intelligence in trade, and more precisely, the opportunity to streamline consumer relationships and increase profits.
